Colorful Connections
A series of pop-up events fostered a sweet and short moment of unwinding and creativity within the Miami University community.

Creating Space for Connection
The goal was to create a welcoming space that encouraged campus interaction to break down social barriers between students, faculty, and staff. By offering a moment to pause and make art, we invited the community to reflect, connect, and experience the benefits of creative expression.
Planning & Facilitation
I collaborated with a team of three other designers—Madeleine Sharp, Taylor Kelley, and Sydney Wissmar—to plan and run a series of pop-up art events on Miami University’s Oxford campus. We focused on making the experience as accessible and inviting as possible—anyone could stop by, take a break, and participate.
Community Participation
Students, faculty, and staff were invited to create small individual artworks using materials we provided on-site. These pieces were later assembled into a collaborative mural that celebrated the collective creativity of the campus community.

Event Outcomes
After the event, we gathered over 70 pieces created by students, faculty, and staff. We then combined them into a large community mural, which was later displayed on campus.
Survey Feedback
“My favorite part was the encouragement from the organizers and the freedom of the mediums.”
“I enjoyed doing something creative and taking my mind off the day to day!”
Figma Design
We designed a simple app in Figma to track everything and make it easy for others to recreate the project. It documents the process and gathers all resources in one place.
